Michaël Rebotier – Landscape architect
The design office
How we work
Driven by the artistic sensibility of Michaël Rebotier, landscape architect, his design office cultivates an artisanal approach to landscaping, where each project takes shape through hand-drawn sketches.
True to an authentic and tailor-made approach, MR PAYSAGE favors drawing as a tool for design and sharing, to imagine unique, sensitive, and sustainable outdoor spaces.
Sketches, technical drawings and immersive views are carefully crafted to provide a clear and vivid picture of your future landscaped space

Frequently asked questions about design
How long does the design phase take?
The complete design phase generally takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the surface area and complexity of the project. It includes the on-site visit, the intent sketch, the technical execution plans and the final presentation. For large-scale projects (large estates, difficult terrain, advanced architectural integration), allow up to 12 weeks.
How does the first meeting unfold?
Our first meeting always takes place on your property and lasts about an hour. It allows us to listen to your expectations, your way of life on site, and lay the foundations of a project that fits, anchored in your site. This is a free, no-commitment step offered by MR Paysage.
Which documents do you receive at the end of the study?
At the end of the design phase, you receive the complete file required for construction: intent sketch, dimensioned site plan, technical drawings (irrigation, masonry, lighting if applicable), hand-drawn perspectives and a detailed quote. The exact content is adjusted to each project, some documents being unnecessary depending on the nature of the garden.
Can you work with another contractor for the construction?
Yes. Our design file is detailed enough to be entrusted to another landscape contractor of your choice. However, most of our clients entrust us with the entire construction: continuity between the design and the execution team guarantees the result’s consistency with the initial vision.
Do you work with architects or independently?
Both. We often work in direct collaboration with an architect on new villa projects or major renovations, to think interior and exterior in the same coherence. On pure garden projects, we work autonomously, in dialogue with the owner.
Is hand drawing an aesthetic choice or a substantive approach?
Hand drawing is our signature and a substantive approach. It makes the design more human, more alive, and more shareable than cold 3D renderings. The client projects themselves into their future garden through these immersive and sensitive views, and each drawing documents an intention that the technical drawings then refine.
